🎯 Staying on it

Flexible focus sprints

Work in short timed bursts with real breaks in between.

Tiny version

One 10-minute sprint on one thing. Then stand up.

Good for

  • Long tasks
  • You hyperfocus and forget to stop
  • Your attention fades after a while

Why it helps

A visible end point makes effort feel finite, and planned breaks stop both drifting off and burning out in a hyperfocus binge.

The full version

  1. Pick one task and a length: 10, 25 or 45 minutes.

  2. Start the timer and work only on that task.

  3. When it rings, take a 5-minute break away from the screen.

  4. Do another sprint, or stop for the day.
